Model Number Finder

About

What this site is, and what it is not

A reference for home appliance model numbers, specifications, part numbers and error codes. Independent, source-linked, and deliberately narrow — washing machines only, for now.

Last reviewed 2026-10-2735 models · 46 part numbers · 26 code pages

Why this site exists

Appliance documentation is scattered across manufacturer support portals, retailer listings and forum posts, and the three disagree constantly. A model number on a spec sheet is often a different string from the one on the machine's rating plate. A part number quoted in a forum is often for a different revision. When you are standing in front of a washer that will not drain, sorting that out is the last thing you want to do.

So this site does one narrow job: put the model number, the published specifications, the manufacturer part numbers and the error-code meanings for a given appliance in one place, with a link to where each figure came from. Nothing else. No shop, no repair booking, no price comparison.

Where the data comes from

Every figure on this site traces back to one of four sources, and each model page names the ones it used at the bottom:

Specifications
The ENERGY STAR public dataset, which manufacturers file themselves. Capacity, dimensions, energy use and annual cost come from there, not from retailer pages.
Manual links
Pointers to the manufacturer's own support pages. We do not host, mirror or re-upload any PDF.
Part numbers
Manufacturer part numbers as published for the specific model, checked against a supplier listing that names the full model string.
Error codes
Condensed in our own words from the published troubleshooting tables for each brand. We do not copy the table text.

How a figure gets published

A value goes live only when it can be pointed at. If two sources disagree, the manufacturer's own published figure wins; if no primary source confirms a value, the page says “Not published” instead of filling the gap with an estimate. That is why some specs pages look sparse — the gaps are real, not an oversight.

This is also why the site keeps a page listing what it cannot tell you, with the numbers behind each gap. A reference you cannot check the edges of is worse than no reference.

What we deliberately do not do

  • We do not host manuals. Manual links go to the manufacturer. This is a deliberate legal and quality decision, not a missing feature.
  • We do not sell parts or take commission. There is no shop and no affiliate relationship with any supplier. Part numbers are published so you can verify a part somewhere else.
  • We do not guess. A model with no confirmable part list gets a page explaining how to find the right number yourself, not an invented list.
  • We do not cover every appliance. Washing machines are the only category with real data behind it. The rest are listed as planned, with no pages.

Independence and trademarks

Model Number Finder is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Whirlpool Corporation or any of its brands, and it earns nothing from any manufacturer or retailer. Brand names and model numbers appear only to identify the appliance being described — nominative use, nothing more. All trademarks belong to their owners.

Get in touch

Corrections are the most useful thing you can send. If a specification is wrong, a part number does not fit, or a code meaning is off, write to [email protected] with the model number and, if you have one, the source you are comparing against. Details on what to include are on the contact page.
