Report a correction

One address, read by the person who maintains the data. Corrections get priority — a wrong part number or a wrong dimension is the reason this site should exist, and leaving it up is worse than having no page at all.

No contact form on this site — a form on a static site either forwards your address to a third party or silently fails. A plain email reaches the same person with fewer steps.

What to include

The single most common reason a correction cannot be applied is that the message does not say which model it is about. Model strings differ by suffix, and two machines that look identical can take different parts. Please include:

  1. The full model number as printed on the rating plate — including the suffix after the dash or period. Not just “Whirlpool washer”.
  2. The page address you are looking at, or the model page path.
  3. What is wrong, and what the correct value should be.
  4. A source if you have one — the manufacturer's spec sheet, the energy label, the parts diagram. A photo of the rating plate is fine.

What gets a reply

Factual corrections
Wrong specification, wrong part number, wrong error-code meaning, wrong model classification. These are checked against a primary source and fixed. Usually the fastest category to turn around.
Broken pages
A 404, a link to a manual that no longer exists, a page that will not load. Reported and repaired, or the link is removed.
Takedown and legal
Trademark, copyright or data-owner requests are handled separately and take priority over everything else. See terms for how those are handled.
Not answered
Requests to diagnose a specific appliance, to source a part, or to price a repair. This site has no repair service and cannot see your machine — see what this site cannot tell you.

Safety first

Before you touch anything: unplug the appliance and shut off the water supply. Do not open panels that expose mains wiring. Anything involving gas, a 240 V circuit or the sealed refrigerant system must be done by a licensed technician. Nothing in an email from this site overrides that.
