Brands we cover
3 brands, 35 models documented across 1 category. Every model page carries its own specifications, manual link, part numbers and error-code list.
Not sure of the brand?
Start from the appliance category instead, or go straight to a symptom guide — those apply across brands and do not need a model number.
How the brands relate
The brands on this site are not independent competitors. Whirlpool Corporation owns Whirlpool, Maytag, Amana and KitchenAid, and the laundry ranges share platforms across the four names. A drain pump fault described on a Whirlpool page very often applies to the Maytag equivalent with a different badge and a different control panel.
That matters when you are looking for a part. A part number is tied to the platform, not the badge, so a number listed under one brand can be the correct replacement for a sibling model under another. It also means the error codes overlap: of the codes documented here, most appear in more than one brand's troubleshooting table with identical meaning.
What the model counts mean
The counts above are models we have actually documented — specifications pulled from the public ENERGY STAR dataset and cross-checked, part numbers confirmed against a published parts list, manual availability tested model by model. They are not the size of each brand's full catalogue.
We deliberately publish a smaller number than we could. A page that states a wrong capacity, a wrong part number or an invented error code is worse than no page: it wastes your money and it teaches search engines that this site cannot be trusted. Real counts, real sources, and an explicit “we could not confirm this” where the data is missing.
If your brand is not listed
It is not a judgement on the brand — it means we have not built that brand's data yet. We work one appliance category at a time, starting with Whirlpool Corporation laundry because those models share documentation and platforms, which makes verification faster and more reliable. Other manufacturers are queued; see the category page for the current order.
In the meantime the symptom guides are brand-agnostic. A washer that will not drain fails for the same handful of reasons whether it says Whirlpool or LG on the front.
Every code we document
Error-code pages are per brand, because the search query carries the brand name even when the code table is shared. Pick a brand above to see its full list.
