Privacy
Privacy policy
This site is a static reference. It has no accounts, no comments, no contact form and no shopping cart, so there is very little to collect. This page states exactly what is collected and what is not.
The short version
- No account, no sign-up, no personal profile. There is nothing to log into and no user database.
- No contact form. Writing to us means sending a normal email from your own mail client — nothing is submitted through this site.
- No advertising scripts at present. No ad network code is loaded on any page today. See the advertising section below for the current status.
- Aggregate analytics only. We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views. We do not use it to identify individuals and we do not build profiles.
What is collected automatically
What is never collected
No name, no postal address, no phone number, no payment details, no account credentials. This site has no facility to receive them, so there is no store of them to lose. The search box on this site runs entirely in your browser against a static index — what you type into it is not sent to a server.
Advertising status
No ad network code is currently loaded on any page of this site. A ads.txt file is published at the site root authorising Google as a seller; that file is a declaration of who may sell inventory, not evidence that ads are being served today.
If display advertising is enabled in future, this section will be updated before any ad code goes live, and it will state: which network, that third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other sites, and how to opt out of personalised advertising through Google's Ads Settings. We will not enable ads without updating this page first.
Opting out of analytics
You can block analytics in several ways, all of which leave the site fully usable: enable a tracking-protection browser extension, block third-party scripts, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Because the site is static HTML, every page still works with all scripts disabled.
Third parties
Two kinds of external request can occur: the Google Analytics script described above, and outbound links you choose to click — manufacturer support pages, and part suppliers. Those destinations have their own privacy policies; once you leave this site, this policy no longer applies. Outbound links to suppliers are marked as non-endorsed commercial links where they appear.
Your rights and how to use them
Because no personal data is stored on this site, there is in practice no account to delete and no record to export. Analytics data is held by Google, not by us, and can be excluded through the opt-out above. If you believe the site holds something about you, or you want a correction, a deletion or an explanation of anything in this policy, write to [email protected] and it will be answered.
Children
This site is a technical reference for appliance owners and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If what the site collects changes, this page is updated on the same day and the date at the top changes with it. Because there is no mailing list, there is no notification mechanism other than the date on this page.
