Limits
What this site cannot tell you
Every reference site lists what it covers. This page lists what it does not — with the numbers behind each gap. If your question is on this page, the honest answer is that we cannot answer it, and you should go somewhere else rather than trust a guess here.
A reference is only useful if you know where its edges are. Each entry below is a real limitation of the data we hold, not a disclaimer. Where a number is given, it is counted from the same content files that build the model pages.
- 01
Can I download the owner’s manual PDF from this site?
No. We host zero PDFs and mirror nothing. The manual button on each model page sends you to the manufacturer’s own support site — the only place the real document lives. 20 of the 35 documented models have no direct PDF link confirmed, and those pages say so.
- 02
Do you cover dryers, dishwashers or refrigerators?
Not yet. Washing machines are the only category with real pages: 35 models across 3 brands. Dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers, room air conditioners and dehumidifiers are listed as planned on the appliances page but have no model pages, no specs and no error codes behind them.
- 03
Are the dimensions listed for every model?
No. 26 of 35 models do not have a complete height × width × depth set in the public dataset, so their specs pages show "Not published" instead of a number. We do not estimate or interpolate a dimension.
- 04
Can you tell me if my appliance has been recalled?
Not from this site’s data. No recall records are currently attached to any model here, so a recall question cannot be answered from what we publish. Register the appliance with the manufacturer and check the CPSC recall database — those two are the authoritative sources, not us.
- 05
Do you have the part number for my specific appliance?
For most models, yes — 46 manufacturer part numbers are published across 35 models. But 3 models (WEF5727T, WFH5424S, WFW4090N) have no published part list in the manufacturer data we could reach, so those pages say that outright rather than guessing a number.
- 06
Does a missing error code mean my appliance does not have that code?
No. We publish only 26 code pages, covering 14 distinct codes confirmed in the official troubleshooting tables for Whirlpool and Maytag washers. A code that is absent here means we could not verify it — not that it does not exist. Every major brand has codes we have not documented yet.
- 07
Can this site diagnose my appliance for me?
No. There are 8 symptom guides and each one lists causes ranked by likelihood, but none of them can see your machine. Diagnosis needs the model number, the symptom pattern and usually a physical check. These guides tell you what to look at and when to stop and call someone — they are not a diagnosis.
- 08
Do you sell parts, book repairs, or show prices?
No. There is no shop, no cart, no price list, no repair booking and no inventory on this site. Part numbers are published so you can verify a part before buying it somewhere else. We have no commercial relationship with any seller.
- 09
Is any of this data live or updated in real time?
No. Everything is a dated snapshot. Content was last reviewed on 2026-10-27. Specifications come from the ENERGY STAR public dataset as published on that date. A model that was in the dataset then may have been discontinued since.

Who writes this, and are you independent?
Model Number Finder is an independent reference site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Whirlpool Corporation or any of its brands. Brand names appear only to identify the appliance being described. Code explanations are written in our own words, condensed from the published troubleshooting tables cited at the bottom of each page. This is our own site describing our own product — not a third-party endorsement of it.
What the site does cover, in one line
35 washing-machine models across 3 brands, with published specifications, 46 manufacturer part numbers, 26 error-code pages covering 14 distinct codes, and 8 symptom guides — every figure traceable to a source you can open yourself.
How this page is maintained
The counts on this page are computed from the site's own content files at build time, not typed in by hand. Adding models, part lists or error codes changes these numbers automatically. When a gap listed here is actually closed, the entry is removed rather than softened. Last reviewed 2026-10-27.
