What this site is

Model Number Finder publishes reference information about home appliances: model numbers, specifications, part numbers and error-code meanings, with sources cited where each figure comes from. It is free to read and requires no account. It does not sell parts, perform repairs, or provide paid advice.

Safety limits — read this before any repair

Repairing an appliance can injure or kill you. The information here describes what a component is and what a code means. It is not a repair instruction, and nothing on this site tells you it is safe to open your particular machine.

Four specific situations are outside what this site can help with, and no page here should be read as advice to attempt them yourself:

  • Mains voltage. Unplug the appliance before any panel comes off. Control boards, motors and wiring harnesses carry mains voltage, and some components remain live with the machine switched off but still plugged in. Capacitors can hold a charge after power is removed.
  • Gas appliances. Any work on a gas valve, burner, igniter or gas line must be done by a technician licensed for gas work in your jurisdiction. This is a legal requirement in most places, not a preference.
  • Sealed refrigerant systems. Refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers and air conditioners contain refrigerant under pressure. Recovering, handling or recharging it requires certification and equipment. Puncturing a sealed system is both a safety and an environmental offence in many jurisdictions.
  • Water and electricity together. A washer holding standing water plus an energized component is the highest-risk combination on this site. Drain and unplug before opening anything, and if the machine is leaking near wiring, stop and call a technician.

Where a task requires a licensed technician, this site says so on the page. That statement is part of the content, not boilerplate to be skimmed past.

Accuracy: what we promise and what we do not

What we do promise: every figure is traced to a source, dates are shown, and gaps are labelled as gaps rather than filled with estimates. Where a value could not be confirmed, the page says so.

What we do not promise: that the data is complete, current or correct for your specific machine. Specifications change between production runs. Manufacturers revise part numbers without notice. A code meaning can differ between firmware revisions of the same model. Content on this site is a dated snapshot, last reviewed on 2026-10-27, and the appliance in front of you is the authority — not this page.

The site is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Model Number Finder is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, repair cost or consequential loss arising from use of, or reliance on, anything published here. Verify a part number against the manufacturer or a supplier before ordering, and verify any figure that matters before acting on it.

Manuals are not hosted here

This site hosts no PDFs and mirrors no document. Manual links point to the manufacturer's own support pages. If a link breaks, report it and it will be repaired or removed — we do not re-host the document as a workaround.

Trademarks and independence

Brand names, model numbers and part numbers are the property of their respective owners and appear here only to identify the appliance being described. Model Number Finder is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or authorised by Whirlpool Corporation or any of its brands, nor by any other manufacturer. Nothing on this site should be read as a statement made by a manufacturer.

Error-code explanations are written in our own words, condensed from published troubleshooting tables rather than copied. If you own rights in material you believe is reproduced here improperly, write to [email protected] with the address of the page and the material in question; such requests are handled before anything else.

Outbound links

Links to manufacturers and suppliers are provided so you can verify a figure or buy a part. They are not endorsements and no commission is earned from them. We do not control those destinations and are not responsible for their content, pricing or conduct.

Reasonable use

Read, quote and cite this site freely — a link back is appreciated but not required. Automated bulk scraping that degrades service for other readers is not permitted. If you want the data for research or to build on, write to [email protected]; a reasonable request is likely to get a yes.

Changes

These terms may change as the site changes. The date at the top of this page is the date of the last revision, and continuing to use the site after a change means the current version applies.
